This is a pivotal moment for higher education in India, and both the need and the opportunity to advance quality, consistency, and scale are great. CIPU is a vital effort that promises to align the effort of academic leaders from Indian universities to drive innovation, research and professional development, as well as student success and contributions to India. It is organizations like CIPU that create hope and opportunity for collaboration and progress, not just among higher education institutions in India, but also between India and the United States.
Along with several of my fellow U.S. university presidents and chancellors, I am very pleased to support my colleagues in CIPU. We look forward to continued exchange of ideas and practical approaches for fostering collaboration between institutions in our two countries.
CIPU’s vision of service in research, teaching, and facilitating greater government and corporate investment is all the more important as we work together to provide accessible, high-quality higher education for all.
