Prof. (Dr.) M. D. Lawrence

Dr. M. D. Lawrence is an experienced academician and researcher with over 33 years of experience in education, research, and training. He currently serves as the Vice Chancellor of Dr. P. A. Inamdar University, Pune.

Dr. Lawrence has successfully guided more than 25 Ph.D. students and 11 M. Phill students.

He has to his credit more than a hundred research papers in Marketing, HRM and General Management. All his papers are published in leading national, and international journals.

Dr. Lawerence has travelled widely abroad participating in more than 60 International conferences, seminars, and workshops. He has chaired and delivered keynote addresses at such conferences both in India and abroad.

He has also been an Assessor for more than 20 years in the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) Peer Team for accreditation to colleges across India.

Dr. Lawrence has served as the Principal of Marathwada Mitra Mandal's College of Commerce (MMCC) for 13 years and Foresight College of Commerce for 4 years. During his tenure, his college was awarded the Best College by Savitribai Phule Pune University., Pune. He was also awarded the Best Teacher award, by the Ministry of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra in the year 2012. He was also awarded the Best Principal by Savitribai Phule Pune University in 2014. Dr. Lawrence has been the recipient of numerous esteemed awards, including the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Awards from renowned bodies and councils. Recently, he was awarded the Principal for Excellence by the Indian Institute of Hotel Management. His outstanding contributions to commerce education and research led to them being granted a Fellow Membership by the International Benevolent Research Foundation, Kolkata. He was recognized as the recipient of the Best Favourite Teacher Award of Pune City based on a student poll conducted by Zenith Public Trust, Pune. He was bestowed with the "Best Principal and Eminent Educationist Award" by IIHM, Pune. The M.C.E. Education Society honoured Dr. Lawrence with the Pune Shikshak Gaurav Award.

Dr. M. D. Lawrence, throughout his illustrious career, has held numerous esteemed positions and played pivotal roles in various organizations.
